The past decades Södermalm gradually changed to the relaxed neighborhood where hipsters and artists feel at home. In 2014 Vogue even called Södermalm the coolest neighbourhood of Europe!
The real hipster hipsters go to Sofo, south of Folkungagatan. Here it is swarming with vintage shops, art galleries, trendy boutiques and coffee bars that serve the latest food trends.
The highest natural point of Stockholm is located on Södermalm. Skinnarviksberget is 53 meters above sea level and offers magnificent views over Gamla Stan and Kungsholmen.
